The St. Anthony Respect Life activities occur year round, and cross ministry boundaries, through collaborative efforts by: the Respect Life Ministry, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Daughters, St. Vincent de Paul, Adoration Ministry, and St. Anthony parishioners.
Respect Life materials such as the Respect Life Tables and the Casa Grande Life Walk are 75% supported financially through the generous contributions of the Knights of Columbus. Diapers, clothing and other materials that are donated to the New Life Pregnancy Center and St. Vincent de Paul are supported through parishioner donations. Goods support new families and families in the first few years of choosing life for their babies, through age 6. Clothing and other material goods are collected once a year for these two organizations during the Thanksgiving to New Year’s Respect Life Giving Tree. A collection named the June Diaper Drive is held for the New Life Pregnancy Center only, in response to the Pregnancy Center’s annual call to area churches to help during the summer months.
There is a core of visible Respect Life Ministry members who you may see manning tables and collecting materials from the tree, and there are other Respect Life members and St. Anthony Ministries working behind the scenes. Without all these members, the Respect Life ministry would not be able to operate.
